Abstract

The iridocorneal endothelial syndrome is a rare ocular disorder characterized by structural and proliferative abnormalities of the corneal endothelium, the anterior chamber angle, and the iris. We are presenting a case of

35 year male who came with the complaints of diminished vision and halos in left eye since 15 days. On visual examination ,patient had 6/6 vision in right eye and 6/60 with pin hole improvement 6/18(p) in left eye. Intraocular pressure was 14 mmHg in right eye and 18 mmHg in left eye.The slit lamp biomicroscopic examination revealed mild corneal edema with increased corneal thickness, peripheral anterior synechiae with iris atrophy ,irregular pupil along with clear lens.The laser peripheral iridectomy was noted at 11 o clock position.Right eye fundus was within normal limit and cupping noted in left eye.

Patient advised a topical anti-glaucoma medication and prophylactic hypersol eye ointment.Long-term follow-up is necessary in such patients.
