Abstract
Ocular injuries are a leading cause of mono-ocular blindness in children. Children represent disproportionate percentage of ocular trauma with an incidence of 29-35%. Ocular injuries may cause profound irreversible trauma to various ocular structures resulting in increased risk of visual morbidity. Strategies for prevention require knowledge of the cause of injury and may hence enable more appropriate targeting of resources towards prevention of such injuries. This retrospective study was done to analyse the predisposing factors, causative agents of ocular trauma and visual outcomes in pediatric patients following covid-19 pandemic. Educating the parents and guardians in preparing the environment safe for the children will help to salvage the vision and to fetch correct treatment during the lockdown.
