Abstract
Trabeculectomy is the gold standard procedure for surgical treatment of glaucoma. Mitomicin C and 5-FU have made trabeculectomy results better but they carry a risk of long term complications such as bleb leak and hence blebitis and endophthalmitis especially in cases of thin sclera and high myopia. So,to ensure good functioning filtering bleb and bleb safety(which is the most important determinant of final IOP after trabeculectomy),Ologen is the other option which promises comparable IOP reduction after trabeculectomy. In this video,we present a case of high myopia(Post RK)with POAG wherein IOP was uncontrolled on maximum medical therapy. The video demonstrates the pearls to overcome the challenges of multiple RK marks and high myopia while performing trabeculectomy so as to have an optimal outcome.
