Abstract
Glaucoma is a multifactorial optic neuropathy. It is the leading cause of irreversible blindness. Most types of glaucoma cannot be prevented; early detection and ongoing monitoring of eye health can limit the vision loss caused by the disease. Glaucoma management needs, to stop damage as early in the disease as possible for this reason earlier diagnosis and treatment are desirable. Simultaneously, we must avoid making an inaccurate diagnosis of glaucoma in patients with anomalies that can be mistaken for disease. The purpose is to present strategies worth keeping in mind to make a diagnosis of early glaucoma and decide whether to initiate treatment
