Abstract

We report in this study a rare case of Chandler’s Syndrome , an Iridocorneal Endothelial syndrome variant in a 37 year old male who complained of blurring of vision in the left eye since 8 months , with the symptoms worse in the early morning. In the initial evaluation we observed the BCVA of 6/12, corneal swelling with microcystic edema and conjunctival hyperaemia in the left eye. The right eye was normal. IOP was 16 mm Hg in the right eye and 36mm Hg in the left eye. CCT was 536 microns in the right eye and 559 microns in the left eye. Specular microscopy demonstrated diffuse guttata like changes in the left eye. We started topical treatment with brimonidine timolol combination and prostaglandin analogues along with prednisolone. Uncontrolled intraocular pressure and reduced visual acuity continued in spite of maximal medication. Subsequently trabeculectomy with mitomycin C in the left eye was performed. Post operatively reduction in IOP and improvement in visual acuity was noted.
