Abstract
Analysis of the disease course over a long term follow-up gives useful information about uveitis phenotypes that are likely to receive revised diagnosis. Identification of such phenotypes provides red flags warranting a more thorough work-up before labelling as idiopathic. In this study, retrospective review of patients’ data collected on an in-house purpose-built uveitis registry portal:Ocular Autoimmune Systemic Inflammatory and Infectious Study(OASIS) was done. The study included 99 patients(45.45% males; mean age: 29.5 +14.35 years). At presentation anatomical diagnosis were anterior(38.38%),intermediate(14.14%),posterior(33.33%),panuveitis (13.13%) and scleritis(1%).Etiological diagnosis could be made in 50.50% of the patients.8.08% patients received a revised diagnosis upon follow up.Phenotype evolution was the most common factor for revision in uveitis diagnosis.Idiopathic anterior uveitis was the most common phenotype to receive a revised diagnosis.
