Abstract
AOVD is a clinically heterogenous maculopathy that may mimic other conditions and can be difficult to diagnose. Judicious choice of ophthalmic imaging is important in such cases. We report a case of 32 year old lady who presented to us with blurring of vision for 2 weeks both eyes. Her best corrected visual acuity was 6/24, N18. Fundus exam showed both eyes macula with vitelliform deposits. Multimodal imaging with icare EIDON widefield true color confocal fundus imaging system, and Spectralis platform – Heidelberg retinal angiograph 2 (Heidelberg engineering, Heidelberg,Germany) was done. Infrared, Redfree, Multicolor, auto fluorescence , fundus fluorescein angiography, OCT and OCT – A was done and analysed where FFA showed a small area of leakage with confirmatory secondary choroidal neovascular membrane on OCTA. Our case report highlights the necessity of multimodal imaging in diseases like Bests, where high variability in morphological and functional alterations are known.
