Abstract
37-year old male presented with sudden onset of blurred vision in his right eye for 4 days. There was no ocular trauma/ surgery or any systemic illness in the past. His best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was counting fingers at 3 meters and 5/60 in the right and left eye respectively. His both eye’s intraocular pressures were 14mmHG. The anterior segment revealed no abnormality, while on Indirect Ophthalmoscopy, there were disc pallor, mild arteriolar attenuation and bony spicules in both eyes. The foveal reflex was dull in both the eyes with subretinal fluid (SRF) in the right fovea. Full-field electroretinogram revealed severely reduced combined response, non-recordable cone response with severely reduced 30HZ flicker response. Optical coherence tomography revealed an epiretinal membrane (ERM) in both eyes with SRF in the right eye. Right eye fluorescein angiography revealed an ink blot sign. A focal laser to the leak was done. After 4 weeks, his right eye BCVA improved to 6/18.
