Abstract
This is a prospective hospital based interventional study. 20 Patients having difference of ≥1.5D in their keratometry were selected and divided randomly into 2 groups for measurement by IOL Master and Manual Keratometry and on the basis of that Monofocal Toric IOLs were implanted.
In IOL Master group, 8 patients got mean UCVA 6/6p and on Autoref mean residual astigmatism -0.25DC and mean BCVA 6/6. and 2 patients got mean UCVA 6/9 and on autoref mean residual astigmatism was +0.50 DC and mean BCVA was 6/6P.
In Manual Keratometry group 5 patients got mean UCVA 6/12, on autoref residual astigmatism +0.75DC and mean BCVA 6/6P. 3 patients got mean UCVA 6/9, on autoref residual astigmatism +0.50DC and mean BCVA 6/6. 2 patients got UCVA 6/6.
Group with IOL Master showed better results in which mean residual astigmatism was -0.1 DC and in the group with manual keratometry, residual astigmatism was +0.5DC. Small sample size was the limitation of the study.
