Abstract
Introduction –
To analyse the preferred practice patterns for managing a case of VKH by the uveitis specialist of Uveitis Society of India.
Methods –
An online survey was carried out via online survey tool, jotforms questionnaire between September 2021 and February 2022.
Results –
Most common ocular presentation of VKH as encountered is panuveitis. There is a tie between the preference of a combination of FFA, OCT and B-scan (n-17) and FFA, OCT and ICGA (n – 16) for differentiating VKH from multileak CSCR. Similar discrepancies is seen for ancillary investigations during acute phase, 25 preferring FFA and OCT, while the other 25 prefers FFA, OCT and ICGA combination. Macular edema has been encountered as the most common cause of visual loss followed by CNVM.
Conclusions –
With the growing use of immunomodulatory therapies and newer biologic agents, it is a requirement to standardise the practice pattern to deal this dreaded disease.
