Abstract
OBJECTIVES a To study the correlation of visual outcomes with macular perfusion post retinal detachment surgery using OCTA b To evaluate the difference in macular perfusion with the fellow eye c To evaluate changes in these indices during a follow up period of 3 months.
It is a prospective observational study with sample size of 36 patients. The first assessment was performed following the complete disappearance of gas for the best-corrected visual acuity , NCT and OCTA 6X6 mm cube imaging of the retina centered on the fovea.
CONCLUSION macula off RRD causes decreased retinal perfusion even after successful repair.A statistically significant reduction of perfusion density in DCP. Worse visual outcomes were noted in eyes that had reduced perfusion density in DCP. The vessel densities in SCP and DCP of RD eyes were lower than the fellow eyes. Significant statistical positive correlation between final logMAR BCVA and perfusion density of superficial and deep capillary plexus.
