Abstract
AIM:To evaluate the anatomical and visual outcomes in ODP-M following PPV with inverted ILM flap and scleral autograft.METHOD:Retrospective study including 21eyes which underwent PPV with inverted ILM flap and gas tamponade in group1(n=10) and scleral autograft in group2(n=11).Anatomical success assessed by measuring resolution of SRF on OCT and visual success by comparing the BCVA.RESULT:Pre operative BCVA and CMT in group1 was logMAR0.91±0.42 and 804 ±294µm respectively and in group 2 was logMAR 0.58±0.27 and 1200.64±882µm respectively.Surgical intervention resulted in significant reduction in CMT to 273.4±102.54µ(p0.0003) in group 1 and 276.36±134.27(p0.0078) in group2 at 1 year post-op.There was no statistically significant difference between 2 groups in anatomical and visual outcome at the end of 1 year. CONCLUSION:Both techniques are equally efficacious adjuncts to plug the pit and for better anatomical and visual outcome
