Abstract
We studied ocular findings other than ROP detected during tele screening programe from January2020 to December2021. Total 4718 babies were screened in 10,670 imaging sessions. Non-ROP ocular abnormalities were seen in 264 eyes of 140 babies. Posterior segment pathologies seen in 92.1% babies with hemorrhage being the most common.Rare life threatening patholology like Retinoblastoma was also detected. Anterior segment pathologies were seen in 7.8% babies with congenital cataract being the most common, microphthalmos and corneal disorders. 20.7 % had referral-warranted pathologies. Surgical intervention done for 1.4% babies, 2.1% babies were treated medically, and 2.1% babies needed visual rehabilitation. This is one of the few studies describing the magnitude and spectrum of neonatal ocular pathologies other than ROP during COVID era. Digital imaging has a significant impact on early detection and timely intervention for various vision as well as life-threatening non-ROP pathologies
