Abstract
We present seven cases of Multi Color Imaging (MC) in Optic Disc Melanocytoma (ODM). Unique features of MC imaging seen were- different shades of red based on the depth of ODM – which we termed as “Dart – Board” sign. One case showed choroidal invasion which revealed yellowish hue instead of red; that was indistinguishable on Color Fundus Photograph (CFP) from the bulk of ODM mass. CFP only showed different shades of black in this case. MC imaging in 2 cases also showed feathery margins which were sharper when compared to their appearance on CFP. Disc edema was seen in 2 cases as greenish hue surrounding ODM. MC imaging has potential in determining height of ODM, disc and choroidal invasion which can suggest transformation into melanoma. CFP is flash – based and hence cannot show the unique distinctive features seen on MC imaging. MC imaging in our series showed the above findings by virtue of being wavelength – dependent.
