Abstract
Synopsis:This video describes a case of 21 year old female with history of barrage laser and cryo done 3 months back presenting with Right eye subtotal rhegmatogenous RD with macula off in phakic eye with no PVD / PVR changes.Patient was planned for vitrectomy,Intraoperatively after vitrectomy, during fluid air exchange, migration of air into the subretinal space through the peripheral break was noticed,in spite of intravitreal position of the infusion cannula.It was managed by making drainage retinotomy and aspirating the subretinal air,followed by fluid air exchange,endolaser and silicon oil injection.Post operatively patient had BCVA of 6/9 with attached retina. The anatomical consideration in this unusual surgical complication is discussed in this video.
