Abstract

Patient1- 29 year male, OU PACG,BCVA OD 6/60, OS PL underwent trabeculectomy. OD-POD 7, vision drop to HM,shallow AC, IOP 10 mm,bleb moderate,no leak. Topical steroids cycloplegics intensified,AC reformed. Lens bulge necessitated vitreous tap. Long term atropinisation & vision gain over 10 months.No ciliary rotation on UBM.OU presented 2months post trab with shallow AC,lens bulge, IOP 30mm,requiring vitreous tap.

Patient2-75year female, OU PACG, OD trab 20years ago, underwent phaco OD. Post-op multiple episodes of OD shallow AC,IOP in 30’s with episodic visual drop,bleb functional,UBM normal. Clinical diagnosis of malignant glaucoma managed medically, with vitreous tap, Yag hyaloidotomy; with only temporary response. Vitrectomy with peripheral anterior synechiolysis resulted in permanent resolution.OU combined phacotrabeculecomy 8years ago, stable.

Cases highlight variable presentations of rare complication of trabeculectomy with both eyes behaving differently in both patients
