Abstract

Purpose: To image trabeculectomy blebs using AS‑OCT, and correlate the morphologic features at 1 month postoperatively with bleb function at 3 months. Materials and Methods: Prospective observational study i30 eyes undergoing trabeculectomy, AS‑OCT and bleb morphology assessed for bleb wall reflectivity, bleb pattern in multiform reflectivity, presence of hyper‑reflectivity area. Bleb successful IOP <18 mmHg no drops at 3month. Bleb morphology 1 month postop correlated with bleb function at 3 months. Results: Successful bleb function noted in 24 (80 %) eyes. Uniform bleb wall reflectivity seen in 6 eyes (20 %) and multiform wall reflectivity in 24(80%). Microcysts with multiple layers in 14 eye (58%). logistic regression analysis revealed blebs with multiform reflectivity with microcysts have higher chances of success (P< 0.001).
