Abstract

Aim: To compare efficacy and safety of subconjunctival injection of mitomycin C with that of conventional soaked sponges in phacotrabeculectomy.

Conclusion: We found that Injection MMC may be as safe, time sparing and as effective as conventional sponge application of MMC with comparable estimated complete treatment success with relatively lower complication rates and requirement of additional procedures.
