Abstract
Anterior Segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) -an imaging technique has facilitated repeatable quantitative estimation of anterior segment parameters opposed to the subjective evaluation using gonioscopy
Aim:To compare anterior segment & angle parameters between pseudoexfoliation
glaucoma(PEXG) & normal control subjects using
AS-OCT imaging
DESIGN:Prospective Observational study METHODS:35 patients with PEXG & 35 subjects with normal eyes as the control group were recruited in this study.Anterior segment & angle parameters of all the subjects were evaluated
RESULTS:The differences in anterior chamber angle parameters (ACD & ACW) was significant among study groups, with lower values in the PEXG group compared to the control group. Lens vault was higher in the Pseudoexfoliation
glaucoma(0.405 ±0.21) group compared with the control group (0.307 + 0.20)
CONCLUSION:There is a progressive decrease in angle parameters from control subjects
to the Pseudoexfoliation glaucoma group
