Abstract
Purpose -Effect of ATT in patients of presumed choroidal TB and determine the visual outcome.
Methodology- Prospective interventional study in which 25 patients diagnosed with presumed choroidal TB underwent a ophthalmological examination ,multimodal imaging ,laboratory and radiological investigation .All of them received ATT for 6 months duration.
Result -25 patients(14females,11males) received ATT for presumed choroidal TB for 6 months.10 patients had evidence of pulmonary TB and 1 patient had abdominal TB. Patients presented with tuberculoma , multifocal choroiditis , serpiginous like choroiditis and diffuse choroiditis .5 cases had bilateral presentation. P value<0.05 between initial and final BCVA after ATT was observed. Conclusion-Presumed choroidal TB can be associated with significant ocular morbidity. Early recognition ,treatment and regular follow up of this complex disease help to reduce visual morbidity. Keywords – Choroiditis Financial disclosures -No financial interest
