Abstract
Bietti crystalline dystrophy is a chorioretinal degeneration characterized by yellow –white deposits localized in the paralimbal cornea, and superficial and deeper layers of retina. Choroidal neovascularization, cystoids macular edema and macular hole was reported in patients with Bietti crystalline dystrophy. We report a rare case of choroidal neovascular membrane (CNVM) in a young male patient with Bietti’s crystalline dystrophy which was treated with one injection of intravitreal bevacizumab. Fundus Autofluorescence , Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, OCT, Humphrey Visual Field test, mf ERG was done before injection and 1month and 4 month after injection. The CNVM underwent scarring on 1 month follow up after injection and stabilization of visual acuity at follow up period of 4 month. It suggests that intravitreal bevacizumab may have a role in the treatment of CNVM in these cases.
