Abstract
Aim: To find out visual outcomes and retinal profile changes in patients undergoing interavitreal ranibizumab
Methods: 85 patients who fulfilled the diagnostic criteria for undergoing interavitreal antiVEGF were included in the studies. Detailed Pre-operative and post-operative examination were done like visual acuity, IOP, macular OCT and blood investigations and regular post operative follow up were done.
Results: Mean age of patients undergoing interavitreal antiVEGF was 54± 2.8 years. Majority of the patients were male (63.5 %). Majority were diagnosed case of retinal vein occlusion. Other relevant diagnosis were hypertensive retinopathy, DME, post-operative CME, wet AMD. 94% patients showed improvement in macular edema however only 42% showed improvement in visual acuity.
Conclusion: anti VEGF injection should be given at the earliest in order to improve the visual rehabilitation at the earliest.
