Abstract
Aim- To evaluate dependence of aberrations in myopic patients.
Study included 210 myopic eyes divided as per severity of myopia (as mild, moderate and high) in a tertiary health care center in Central india between 2018 to 2021. Sample size was calculated using nMasterVersion2.0 software and statistical data analysis was done using Satistical Software STATAVersion14.0. Correlation between common higher order aberrations (HOAs) and severity of myopia were analysed using correlation and regression analysis. It was observed that most predominant total ocular HOA was trefoil and most predominant corneal HOA was coma. Decreasing trend of HOAs was observed with increasing severity of myopia, whereas, only spherical total HOA slight significantly increased with severity. Hartmann- Shack aberrometer and Sirius topographer provided these measurements that can help in correcting the HOAs while planning refractive surgeries in future and help in achieving better visual outcome.
