Abstract
Purpose : To study the relationship between corneal tomography and white-to-white measurement in the pediatric population.
Methods:651 eyes of 651 subjects were included . All eyes were examined using Pentacam HR (OCULUS Optikgeräte GmbH, Germany). The scheimpflug images acquired by Pentacam HR were used in calculating white-to-white by two experienced ophthalmologists. The white-to-white was correlated with Pentacam HR reported keratometry and BAD indices to understand its impact of tomographical data interpretation. P-value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
Results: Both the hWTW and vWTW parameters correlated significantly (p<0.001) with flat, steep, mean and max keratometry indices inversely (decrease in the white-to-white caused increase in keratometry value. Conclusion:The result shows that WTW could be a significant factor in the tomographical assessment of cornea.
