Abstract
Pediatric Cataract surgery requires special care to ensure for long term favorable outcomes. By this video I hope to point out those ten tips that I wish I knew before I became a pediatric cataract surgeon too perfect my results and enable my patients to benefit from those additional maneuvers to success. These include the type of anesthesia choices, the various ways to dilate that intraoperative pupil for visualization, the incision making and capsule staining strategies, the safety in using a bimanual lens aspiration method along with the cortex first approach for those one off surprise complicated cases, the shortcut to making a great PPC, the IOL implanting strategies with a posterior capsular opening, tips to the art of anterior vitrectomy and managing in difficult and special situations.
