Trabeculectomy is the most commonly performed glaucoma filtration surgery for the control of Intraocular pressure in glaucoma. The surgery is safe and cost effective and can be done in all patients with a mobile and preserved conjunctiva. However, post operative care and management is utmost important for a favourable outcome. With advent of use of antimetabolites, the conjunctiva becomes thinner that would make the conjunctical blebs susceptible to leakage. Bleb leakage may be take place in the early post op or in late phase. This video would demonstrate the different bleb complications that can occur in the early, immediate and delayed post operative period and it’s management.
