This patient was undergoing cataract surgery by a novice surgeon who ran into trouble right at the beginning of the case. There was extensive iris prolapse which happened after the anterior lens capsule was punctured. Following which surgeon elected to stop, suture the incision, and patient was referred to me. I took the case again after 15 days. I am now faced with a challenge to successfully perform the cataract surgery and then repair the iris. This video shows how I managed the case.
