Abstract

Sometimes foldable PCIOL trailing Haptic will be stuck in the cartridge and injector. It will be difficult to release it and will cause the breaking of Haptic. Then the phaco incision is to be extended or a new 6mm sclero-corneal tunnel to be made to explant the broken IOL and to reimplant the new IOL. It will cause post-operative astigmatism. We coincidentally found a mechanism to release the trailing haptic by cutting the cartridge with a blade which causes the easy release of Ha[tic.
