Abstract
It is a retrospective observational case series of 250 eyes of 175 patients having severe ptosis with por LPS action and good Bell’s Phenomena in a tertiary eye care center in Eastern India over a period of 7 years. Fox pentagon pattern was followed using 18G needle , a silicone sling and 6-0 vicryl sutures with five 2mm incisions in selective places. Patients were followed up on Day1, Day 7, Day 30 and after 6 months respectively. Immediate post operative overcorrection of eyelid height of 1 mm was intentional. After 6 months follow up average eyelid droop of 1to1.5 mm was noted. 90% of cases gave good cosmetic outcome. Rare complications included torn sling, suture granuloma, delay in forehead wound healing etc. Short surgical time, simple technique and good surgical outcome can make this procedure popular.
