Abstract
To report case of corneal tear repaired with SMILE extracted lenticule.Corneal foreign bodies are common ocular emergencies.SMILE is advanced refractive technique used to correct myopia through extraction of an intrastromal corneal lenticule without a corneal flap.As SMILEextracted lenticule is removed as a single slice it can be reimplanted for treatment of corneal perforation.A 24 year old male had a of injury to his right eye by metal piece.On SLE,it revealed a deep intrastromal foreign body at 1‘o clock position with stromal edema in the right eye.ASOCT was done which showed deep FB embedded in deep stroma.he Underwent foreign body removal with CAG.On POD1tear was repaired and the anterior chamber was formed.After 4 months suture removedand AC was not formed then planned for SMILE lenticule plug.On post op day1SMILE lenticule was insitu& AC was formed.Lenticule patch graft seems to serve as a safe inexpensive surgical option for the treatment for partialthickness corneal defects
