Abstract
Aim: To evaluate optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in central serous chorio-retinopathy (CSCR) after treatment with eplerenone Methods: In a prospective study on 52 eyes of 40 CSCR patients, OCTA was examined at baseline and three months after eplerenone. Results: Distance BCVA improved (p<0.001). The height, length and number of NSD and PED reduced. The FAZ area reduced from 0.40±0.71 to 0.31±0.19 mm2 (p=0.376), perimeter reduced from 41.8±280.8 to 2.78±0.95 mm (p=0.321)and circularity reduced from 0.48±0.12 to 0.46±0.12 (p=0.931). The vessel density (VD) SCP reduced to 20.5±11.0 (p=0.015), DCP reduced to 11.6±8.0 (p=0.060), outer retina increased to 7.6±9.4 (p=0.250), outer retina chorio-capillaries reduced to 29.1±15.6 (p=0.047), chorio-capillaries reduced to 25.4±15.4 (p=0.092), choroid reduced to 24.7± 17.5 (0.057). Conclusion: All the FAZ parameters and VD in all retino-choroidal layers except outer retina reduced following treatment.
