Abstract
OBF parameters of 14 males and 3 females aged between 35-65 years with post COVID ROCM with unilateral eye involvement were studied. Ophthalmic artery peak systolic velocity(PSV), end diastolic velocity(EDV), resistivity index(RI) in affected eye(AE) and in unaffected eye(UE) were 21.4-43.2 cm/s, 3.21-10.1cm/s, 0.76–0.92cm/s and 13.6-62.5cm/s, 3.61-19.2cm/s, 0.42-0.84cm/s respectively with statistically significant difference between the AE and UE for all except RI. Central retinal artery PSV, EDV, RI in AE and UE were 6.61-16.8 cm/s, 3.61-10.8cm/s, 0.36–0.74cm/s and 81-23.8cm/s,1.98-10.8cm/s,0.31–0.76cm/s respectively, the difference being statistically significant. Short posterior ciliary artery PSV, EDV, RI in AE and UE were 10.8-75.7cm/s, 3.61–28.8, 0.62-0.79 and 13-69.7cm/s, 4.69-19.5, 0.36-0.88 respectively, the difference being statistically significant. However, correlation between serum ferritin levels (inflammatory marker) and OBF parameters was not found to be significant.
