Abstract
Aim:To study safety and effectiveness of SubCyclo laser procedure in patients with various subtypes of glaucomas. Methodology: The study was conducted in a tertiary eye care hospital from October 2021 to July 2022.20 eyes of 19 patients diagnosed with different types of glaucoma received subliminal TSCPC(Sub cyclo).Laser settings were customized based on patient preoperative IOP.Patients were followed up 1week,1month,and 2months after laser. Results:The mean preoperative IOP was 32 mmHg, which reduced to 20.3 mmHg 1 week after laser. At 1 month, the average IOP was 18.4 and at 2 months 17.1 mmHg. Mean number of antiglaucoma medications used was 3 before the laser, which reduced to 2.6 after laser procedure. We observed 36.57% drop in IOP from the baseline after 1 week and 46.57% at 2nd month follow-up with a single laser session. Conclusion: The study concludes that a satisfactory decrease in IOP could be achieved by SubCyclo laser procedure in patients with glaucoma.
