Abstract
We report three patients of Intermediate uveitis with follow up over 15 years period with definite diagnosis of MS confirmed by neurologist. All 3 patients are females in 30-35 age group .One of them has bilateral intermediate uveitis only. One had bilateral intermediate uveitis and bilateral optic neuritis . One patient developed unilateral optic neuritis first followed by intermediate uveitis in the same eye after 8 months whose MRI brain was normal but MRI cervical spine showed white matter lesions and oligoclonal bands in CSF.
Two cases are treated with Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) only , which was well tolerated .
In one case which was recalcitrant to steroids and MMF , complete quiescence was achieved post intravitreal (400 micrograms / 0.1 ml) and subcutaneous methotrexate(20 mg every week for 12 weeks). . However visual prognosis was good in all cases with treatment , inspite of the protracted course
