Abstract
Rhino-orbito-cerebral mucormycosis(ROCM) is a potentially lethal, angioinvasive fungal infection which became a matter of concern during COVID-19 pandemic.
We report the presentation of 8 patients to the neuro- ophthalmic clinic, their systemic history, the clinical appearance(which cranial nerves involved) of the disease at that time, the staging of mucormycosis radiologically and finally the prognosis of the cases.
The anatomical and radiological involvement varies from each case and it determines the outcome also.We attempt to highlight the anatomical and radiological correlation in ROCM cases and the need of teamwork with radiologist in diagnosing and beating this black threat.
