Abstract
Purpose: To compare and evaluate new AI based IOL formulas( Hill RBF, Ladas super formula and Kane) and regression formula (Barrett Universal II, Haigis, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1 & SRK/T) Method: 423 eyes from 276 pts who undergone phaco with IOL implant are considered. Refractive mean numerical error(MNE) and mean absolute error(MAE) of IOL each formulas were calculated and compared. The refractive error absolute value (by percentage) of each formula was calculated at ±0.25D, ± 0.50D, ±1.00D, and ±2.00D Result: Hill RBF, Ladas super & Kane formula had lowest MNE and MAE at different axial lengths; Holladay and Hoffer Q were highest. Ladas super & Hill RBF also have the highest % of refractive error absolute value within 0.5D. For extreme eyes AI based IOL formula esp.“Ladas super” is better than others formulas Conclusion: AI based IOL formula, especially Ladas super & Hill RBF are the grandmaster with lowest predictive error compared with other regression formulas even Barrett formula.
