Abstract
Aim:Analyze the morphological changes in retina, choroid by Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography(SDOCT)in patients withVKH at first presentation and correlating central macular thickness(CMT),inner retinal thickness(IRT),height of retinal detachment(RD),subretinal fluid(SRF),subfovealchoroidal thickness(SFCT) with visual acuity(VA)in VKH disease.Methodology:Prospective observational study done over 2years with VKH patients. Results:Better VA observed in chronic group is significant.Other than exudative RD, retinal pigment epithelium folds (64%) most common followed by internal limiting membrane folds in 54%. IS-OS disruption noted in both phase was insignificant. The meanCMT,IRT, SFCTshowed a significant reduction in chronic group.RD and SRF seen only in acute eyes. None of measured OCT parameters statistically correlated withVA.Conclusion:OCT is important tool in the evaluation of VKH disease.RPE folds were most common finding.SDOCT can evaluate the choroid primarily affected.
