Abstract
PURPOSE
The knowledge of the vaccine related complication is important in diagnosing and their management. We are reporting a case of 16 year female with complete left third nerve palsy after the first dose of COV-19 vaccine.
METHOD
A 16 year female presented with sudden painless drooping of left eyelid (LE). LE complete ptosis was noted with limitation of extraocular movements (EOM) in all directions except abduction and intorsion. The pupil was 6mm, nonreactive.
RESULTS
All the relevant blood investigation and MRI Brain with Orbit with Contrast were normal except COV-19 IgG positive. Diagnosis of complete third nerve palsy post COV-19 was made. Patient showed improvement in ptosis and EOM after one week and at 5 week complete recovery of third nerve noted.
CONCLUSION
This case report one of the possible adverse event of COV-19 vaccination. Further studies are warranted about such events.
