IT DEALS WITH ROLE OF AI IN IMAGE RECOGNITION USING FUNDUS PHOTOGRAPHS, OCT AND VISUAL FIELDS AND TUMOR TOMOGRAPHY COVERS EVERY SPHERE IN OPHTHALMOLOGY IN DR, ROP, GLAUCOMA, MACULAR DISEASES AND ARMD. THE MOST IMMEDIATE PROMISING COMPUTER ALGORITHMS ARE IN FIELD OF RETINAL DISEASES. RESEARCHERS FROM GOOGLE BRAIN INVENTED IN 2016 “DEEP LEARNING” AI SYSTEM THAT TAUGHT ITSELF TO ACCURATELY DETECT DIABETIC RETINOPATHY (DR) AND DME. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BASED IOL POWER CALCULATION IS ‘GRANDMASTER IN OPHTHALMOLOGY’.
