This video will showcase challenges faced by a novice surgeon while performing Microinvasive Glaucoma Surgery(MIGS) with iStent inject implant. MIGS has revolutionized the management of glaucoma worldwide and is about to take India with a bang. In the Indian scenario, iStent inject is a very new technology that only a handful of surgeons are practicing. The author’s effort will be to highlight through her multiple iStent surgeries, difficulties encountered and her tips on surgical technique, visualization of the angle, pre and post op management and how to avoid complications. This video will also show iStent inject surgeries done by the author in high risk eyes like high myopia, young advanced glaucoma and secondary glaucoma and discuss its outcomes, safety and efficacy. This video has a scope of enhancing outcomes in surgeons already forming this technique and also motivating those who have been wanting to take the plunge into the world of MIGS.
