Abstract

This video focuses on field visit to assess socioeconomic status and surroundings of children affected with childhood glaucoma and their caregivers,in their residence as follow-up & treatment is necessary to lead an independent life.It aims at finding out reasons why few children were adherent to treatment which could help continue their education.This field visit helped us understand factors on how we need to improve in explaining caregivers & to improve adherence to treatment & follow-up.Field visit was done to check socioeconomic status and domicile.Caregivers were interviewed to understand factors affecting non-adherence.We found high level of correlation between adherence to follow-up & educational qualification of family head.Awareness creation to caregivers of children improves level of adherence.This video showcases testimonials of difficulties faced by the caregivers in bringing their children for treatment and follow-up and how individual intervention,could improve follow-up
