Abstract
Pediatric cataract surgery is complex and challenging. Each step is important for optimal visual outcome. This video demonstrates different type of cataracts in children and also highlights various tips and tricks in managing these cases. Management of the anterior capsule with a proper intact capsulorrhexis is the most crucial step in the surgery. Also tips on PPC and anterior vitrectomy is essential. How to deal with traumatic cataracts and managing secondary IOL implantation has been discussed. Finally postoperative care and visual rehabilitation is also important for a good visual outcome during longterm follow-up.
