Abstract
This video demonstrates basic principles of prism Adaptation test and it’s uses in management of Acute onset esotropia and intermittent exotropia. This video discusses the uses of prism adaptation in horizontal strabismus with distance–near disparity and incomitant strabismus.PAT enhances surgical performance and success rateof Strabismus surgery. The Strabismus surgeon should be aware of when to use PAT for titrating surgical dosage and when to avoid it.The goal of PAT is to measure full deviation and to assess the possibility of binocularity achivement after surgery.PAT offset deviation and present fusible stimuli. An understanding of physiology of binocularity is essential to correctly estimate results of Sensorimotor testing using prism adaptation test
