Abstract
India covers over 23% of the global total of premature births hence increasing the burden of neonates who require Retinopathy of prematurity(ROP) screening. The making & effectiveness of two frugal innovative do-it-yourself devices is shown in the video for ant & post segm imaging of premature baby(ROP) during 1 month of routine ROP screening- ASPI(anterior segment photography with intraocular lens) and Trash To Treasure Retcam(T3R); The imaging, Documentation, counseling done with the above-described tools by 1 VR fellow is portrayed: 10 screening visits-149 premature babies-298 examined eyes.result:252 eyes-Zone 2 & 6 eyes + AROP stages.6 babies were referred to the main center for further Mx. ASPI & T3R are two frugal imaging instruments that would help many fellow, residents or doctors with accurate screening and referral. Hence, can help in reducing the burden of ROP screening in any facility with minimum resources.
