Abstract

CCC is quite difficult in intumescent cataract. There is likely chances of Argentinian flag sign while performing CCC in lieu of increased intra capsular pressure. An innovative technique of aspiration of liquid cortex through the initial nick on center of the capsule and concurrent inoculation of HPMC through the other side port is performed to preclude peripheral extension of CCC. Automated or manual visco is delivered in AC through cannula or AC Maintainer from the side port. We have got excellent results with the help of this innovative technique and hardly any CCC escape was noted. Rest Phaco procedure was performed as usual.
