Abstract
Method: Limbal dermoid of size 5x5mm in pediatric child of age 5 years was removed by lamellar dissection. The conjunctival defect was closed by conjunctival autograft with fibrin glue. The remnants of limbal dermoid on the corneal part was smoothened with the help of diamond burr. A small drop of tattoo ink is placed on the smoothened part and the dye is infused into superficial stromal layers with the help of tattoo gun.
Result: Post operative comfort was achieved in 1 week. Astigmatism decreased and visual acuity improved. Patient was satisfied with the cosmetic enhancement. No complications observed either in intraoperative or post operative period.
Conclusion: Cosmetic improvement can be achieved by lamellar dissection of limbal dermoid followed by conjunctival autograft followed by corneal tattooing with tattoo gun.
