Abstract

OCTA in the acute setting can show the disruption in circulation after CRAO and the presence of a patent cilioretinal artery can be visualised. This is a quick and non -invasive tool to help diagnose cilioretinal artery sparing CRAO and to explain prognosis to the patient. The critical thing is to perform the OCT A in the right time interval. If the OCT A is performed later then the evidence of blockage may not be very evident hence an informed discussion with patient may not be possible
