Abstract
Retrospective case series of patients with evidence of recent COVID infection were included. 109 eyes were included. Mean age was 36.57 ± 11.78 years. Baseline visual acuity (VA) was logMAR 0.97±0.43. Fundus findings at presentation included retinitis patches (n=109), hard exudates (HE, n=90), superficial hemorrhages (n=64). OCT features included- neurosensory detachment (NSD, n= 100), hyperreflective inner layers (n= 107), acute macular neuroretinopathy (AMN, n= 10), prominent middle limiting membrane (p-MLM, n= 8), hyperreflective foci (HRF, n=91), cystoid macular edema (n=91), subretinal hyperreflective material (SHRM, n= 5) and bacillary layer detachment (BLD, n=6). Patients received oral Doxycycline along with oral steroids. At final follow up, VA was log MAR 0.43±0.27. Patients with NSD, HE and CME had good prognosis, while patients with foveal thinning with outer retinal layer disruption had poor visual outcome.
