Abstract
Objective: To report about the occurrence of this rare disease and outcome of treatment.
Patient Information: 35 yr old female
complained of Vertigo,Tinnitus, Hearing loss, Loss of hair over scalp,progressive diminution of vision RE followed by LE for 3 months.
Examination: Scalp: vitiligo patches with alopecia. Eyebrows: vitiligo patches, eyelashes: poliosis(B/L), conjunctiva: mild circumcorneal congestion.
S/L-Features of chronic anterior uveitis.Few fine KPS(BES) Grade 1+ cells & flare in AC(BES).Segmental posterior synechia.
Fundus: optic disc hyperemia. Pigmentary changes in central retina.
FFA: late leakage with moth eaten appearance.
Investigations Hb%-8gm%, Liver enzymes were elevated.Renal function tests & thyroid profile-normal.Audiometry revealed –B/L SNHL of moderate degree (50-60db) loss;CSF study- lymphocytic pleocytosis.
Treatment: Started on topical prednisolone (1%) & IV methylprednisolone (500mg) – 3 days followed by oral prednisolone(60mg/day) with Cycloplegics.
