Abstract
Introduction-The burden of TB in India is magnanimous.Alongside the increased usage of multiple drugs, there is a rise in cases of MDR-TB leading to rising cases of posterior uveitis. An array of newer electrophysiological tests are available in today’s world, among them one is ERG.But for our patient in question, was it a relevant tool?Case report-A lady in her 30s,a case of extra-pulmonary TB treated with a 6month ATT regimen presented to us with acute onset, painless, diminution of vision in OS,BCVA-6/36.O/E-A hyperemic disc with a granuloma in the inferotemporal quadrant with SRF was noted.Hypofluorescence was seen on ICG and late hyperfluorescence on FFA.On follow ups,the BCVA continued to drop despite resolution of the lesion. With a hope to analyze the same we did OCT which showed ONL and IS–OS disturbance.Following which we ventured towards MF-ERG,showed a decreased foveal response. So we can say while investigating such cases,MF-ERG comes in handy to evaluate the retinal dysfunction.
